Tasks & approvals

Most real processes need people, not just automation. assess.one has two ways to involve them.

A task is a piece of work assigned to a person or a role. For example: review the application, inspect the site, call the customer.

  • Tasks appear in your workspace for the assigned person to action.
  • A task can collect information (e.g. an inspection outcome) that later steps use.
  • A workflow can wait for a task to be completed before moving on, so the process doesn’t run ahead of the human work.

An approval is a decision gate: someone approves or rejects, and the workflow branches on the result.

  • The approved path continues the process.
  • The rejected path handles the exception — closing the record, notifying someone, or sending the work back for revision (a rework loop).

Approvals are the right tool whenever the outcome is a clear yes/no that should change what happens next.

Tasks assigned to you and approvals awaiting your decision appear in your workspace, so your team always knows what needs their attention.
